Join recording artist and performer Kay Brinkman as she plays her crystal singing bowls on the first and third Thursday of the month from 12:30-1:30 pm. You may be joined by our friends from Community Empowered Services in Springboro, who come for a crystal showers healing meditation, gong bath, and/or drumming Thursday afternoons.

Gongs were used in ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman times. They have been used for sound healing, celebrations, and as a method of communication for thousands of years, going back as early as 4,000 B.C.
A gong bath can be used for meditation, relaxation, pain relief and/or emotional release. Wind down your day with a gong bath! Allow yourself time to relax and process your thoughts/emotions, then release them. You’ll feel calmer, more balanced, less anxious, and happier by the time the gong bath is over.
Gong baths can help to release stress, fatigue, depression, and anxiety. Gong baths quiet the mind so new ideas can present themselves. They allow your brain to relax into alpha-dominant and theta-dominant brain waves. These are restorative states of the mind, allowing your brain to store, release, and process the events/experiences of the day. A range of experiences may take place including visions, epiphanies, or creative solutions.
To experience a gong bath, dress comfortably. Lie on a yoga mat on the floor with a pillow or blanket under your head and knees. Wear an eye mask, if desired. If you can’t lie on the floor, then sit in a chair. The experience is the same. Comfort is important.
Soak up the sounds and vibrations of the gong bath that encircle you. It’s that easy!
